Who You Are:

As a Design Engineer, you will work within the New Product Development department and will be responsible for translating concept drawings into manufacturable designs via CAD modeling and drafting. The Product Designer will create designs and draft technical documents that will enable our fabrication and production teams to execute efficiently and effectively.

A Day in the Life:

Analyze new product design requirements and translate into buildable products via sound mechanical design, alignment to manufacturing capabilities/processes, and focus on heirloom quality.

Creating Solidworks models that will be used to illustrate fixture assembly processes, fabricate components via CAM software, and ultimately exist as the master data set for our fixtures.

Creating drawings and work instructions using Solidworks that specifically document fabrication, assembly and packaging processes.

Create bill of materials and shop routing to be used by Materials, Fabrication and Production teams.

Modify existing Solidworks models based on customer requirements and/or feedback received from manufacturing departments.

Collaborate with Fabrication, Production, Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, New Product and Materials teams as necessary.

What Will Set You Up for Success:

2+ years Solidworks experience or similar CAD program

Strong mechanical aptitude that allows you to understand how things could, and should, be constructed.

Two-year technical degree plus applicable experience, or four-year technical degree.

You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.

Familiarity with hand tools or other manufacturing equipment

You have an eye for detail. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You stay focused and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.

You're dependable and can always be counted on to get the job done.
