Job Title: Veterans Job Developer/Sales Representative
Compensation: $60,000 Annual Salary with benefits
Location: San Francisco, CA
Purpose: America Works of California, a socially conscious company, is seeking a Job Developer to generate job opportunities for military veterans experiencing homelessness and successfully place them in sustainable employment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a background in Sales and Marketing who is passionate about landing new job orders and accounts, providing career advice to marginalized job seekers, and matching them to open opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and outreach employers with open job opportunities to generate new leads
Develop partnerships with employers to help program participants find jobs in a variety of in-demand and growing industries
Provide career coaching/counseling, interview prep, and resume reviews for military veterans experiencing housing instability
Meet with military veteran participants to match them with available job opportunities
Schedule participants with employer partners for interviews, conduct on-going follow-up with candidates sent on job interviews
Generate sales leads and obtain referrals from current employer partnerships
Establish and maintain strong relationships with employer partners, including conducting on-site visits to ensure quality of service and generate additional job orders
Meet weekly, quarterly, and annual job placement numbers
Effectively manage a daily schedule of site visits, appointments, and overall territory management
Model professionalism and inclusiveness, cultivate a safe environment for career development, and motivated clients to find full-time employment
Desired Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma and relevant sales experience, 4-year degree preferred
Two to four (2-4) years of experience with Business-to-Business Sales
Excellent negotiating, customer service, and cold calling skills
Passion for working with special and at-risk populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with mental and/or physical disabilities, military veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness
Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
Understanding of workforce development, employment services, and adult education a definite plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint preferred
