BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Coordinates the Bureau of Workers' Compensation's (BWC) Safety Grants programs (e.g., application and approval process, program details, funding availability, employer eligibility).
Evaluates program participants to determine adherence to policy, procedure and appropriate necessary actions (e.g., phone calls, letters received and referred direct billing and/or collections personnel).
Independently conducts review of employer policies (e.g., policy status, 5 year claims history, manual classifications reviewed) to determine compliance with grant program eligibility requirements, utilizing CoreSuite, online filing system records, BWC employer data and workflows.
Identified needs and facilitates process for database enhancements, working in concert with Information Technology (IT) staff.
Makes recommendations on program direction (e.g., databases, policies and procedures, interactive website development and case studies).
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:
3 courses or 9 months experience in contract & grant preparation AND 3 courses or 9 months experience in accounting AND 3 months training or 3 months experience in public relations.
-Or 6 months experience as Grants Coordinator 1, 63161.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
