Job Description
An electrician apprenticeassists experienced electricians with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, learning the trade through hands-on experience and formal training.They work under supervision, gradually taking on more responsibility as they gain skills and knowledge.This involves tasks like preparing work areas, delivering materials, and assisting with wiring, conduit work, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting Electricians:
Following instructions from journeyman electricians and performing tasks as directed, including preparing work areas, delivering materials, and assisting with various electrical tasks.
Electrical Installation & Maintenance:
Learning to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
Reading Blueprints:
Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand electrical system layouts and designs.
Tool and Equipment Use:
Using hand tools, measuring equipment, and electrical tools to perform various tasks.
Safety Compliance:
Following safety regulations and codes, including OSHA standards.
Learning & Development:
Attending training programs, completing assignments, and developing practical skills under the guidance of experienced electricians.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnosing and assisting with the repair of electrical systems and components.
Material Handling:
Procuring, handling, and organizing electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
Code Compliance:
Familiarizing oneself with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
Full-time
