IT Academic Applications Specialist (HEOa)

**POSITION DETAILS**

The Division of Enrollment Management at City College of New York is dedicated to supporting student success throughout the, entire student lifecycle. Our mission is to enhance student engagement and success through a comprehensive, student-centered approach that integrates enrollment services and academic support. The Division plays a pivotal role in advancing these goals by managing multiple technologies that support student retention, engagement, and satisfaction.

This position will serve as the IT Academic Applications Specialist (HEOa), responsible for overseeing the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of key technology platforms utilized across the campus, such as EAB Navigate. These platforms are integral to the coordination of care between administrators, faculty, staff, and students, with the goal of supporting student success from admission through graduation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Director of Admissions/EAB Navigate Manager, the Assistant Director of Student Success and Retention Technology will:

• Serve as a lead application administrator for EAB Navigate and other emerging systems within the Division of Enrollment Management.

• Manage the configuration, troubleshooting, and user support for the platforms, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

• Supervise support level student success and retention technology staff.

• Collaborate with campus departments and support services to facilitate the adoption of Navigate and related technologies.

• Provide training and support to students, faculty, and staff, creating training materials and hosting in-person and virtual sessions.

• Coordinate with IT and Application Security Liaisons {AS) to manage user onboarding and data security protocols.

• Monitor and manage daily data uploads to Navigate, ensuring that all student and institutional data is accurate and timely.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal training websites, Share Point sites, and other support resources.

• Develop and distribute new student onboarding reports, ensuring that relevant stakeholders have the data they need to support student success.

• Participate in regular application administrator meetings and other departmental coordination efforts.

• Ensure compliance with FERPA and other applicable regulations.

• Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Three to five years of related experience in higher education or student services, with a focus on technology systems and user support.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively wit diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Experience with enterprise-level software platforms (e.g., EAB Navigate, Anthology CRM).

• Experience with training facilitation, including presenting to large groups· (both in-person and virtually).

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Share Point.

• Familiarity with PowerQuery/Power Bl for data management and reporting.

• Experience with CUNYfirst (Oracle/PeopleSoft) and working in a higher education environment.

• Knowledge of FERPA regulations and data privacy standards.

**CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW**

Supervises activities in an operational unit supporting Admissions and/or Enrollment.

- Oversees staff activities; plans and monitors employee scheduling and coverage and coordinates training

- Serves as liaison to one or more departments providing student support services, such as Financial Aid

- Coordinates selection process activities such as applications review, verification of information, and timely forwarding of data to other CUNY areas

- Coordinates mailings and other communications

- Monitors activity and reports on both transactions and outcomes

- Completes projects to improve services and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness

- Performs related duties as assigned.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**

Salary Range: $70,238 - $75,465. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
