Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust test automation frameworks.

Automate functional, regression, and performance tests for web, mobile, and API services.

Implement end-to-end testing strategies across distributed systems.

Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in test framework development.

Test Execution & Analysis :

Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and debug failures.

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or TestRail.

Work closely with developers to ensure timely bug resolution.

Prepare detailed test reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Continuous Integration & Deployment :

Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.

Ensure high test coverage for services deployed on cloud infrastructure.

Performance & Security Testing :

Conduct load and stress testing using JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Collaborate with security teams to automate vulnerability testing.

Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Collaboration & Best Practices :

Work in Agile/Scrum teams to define testing strategies and acceptance criteria.

Advocate for automation best practices and maintain test documentation.

Participate in peer reviews to ensure quality and consistency in testing practices.

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field from a recognized university in India.

MCA (Master of Computer Applications) or M.Sc. (IT/CS) will be preferred.

Additional certifications in software testing or test automation are a plus.

Required Skills & Experience :

3+ years of experience in automation testing.

Expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium for UI automation.

Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.

Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodeBuild.

Proficiency in test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.

Familiarity with cloud testing solutions (AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, or TestNG).

Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

Experience in large-scale distributed systems testing.

Performance testing experience with JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or microservices testing.

ISTQB certification or equivalent.

Experience with cross-functional teams and remote collaboration tools.
