Position Overview:

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to help drive data-backed decision-making across the business.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be the company’s FP&A lead, working closely with our accounting team and cross-functional leaders to deliver robust monthly financial reporting packages, lead forecasting and budgeting efforts, and support strategic planning. This is a highly visible role with a significant impact on the financial health and direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the company’s FP&A function, including annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages with insights and variance analyses for leadership

Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate and timely close and reporting cycles

Partner with business stakeholders to support cost analysis, margin optimization, and operational planning

Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning

Support the optimization of financial planning tools

Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive landscape to provide recommendations for strategic financial planning.

Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the company's financial stability.

Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports to senior management, offering insights into financial trends and opportunities for improvement.

Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and planning processes

Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and board reporting as needed

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus

4+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally in a life sciences or high-growth company

Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools

Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite

Must be able to work on site in our Waltham or Cambridge office 3 days per week. This is a Hybrid role.

Experience with financial planning tools like Workday Adaptive, Cube, or similar

Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
