Staff Accountant

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Looking for someone to to join our team ! This is a part-time position 25 to 30 hours per week, flexible days and hours.

· Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports

· Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements

· Perform bank reconciliations, GL Reconciliations

· Maintain prepaid schedules and accruals

· Assist Asst. Controller in responding to divisions GL inquiries

· Main contact person for Liability/Vehicle Insurance COI

· Report analysis and findings to management team

· Develop and analyze reporting for business operations

· Create and post Journal Entries

· Inventory, COGS and finished goods reconciliations

· Previous experience in accounting

· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

· Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools

· Detail and deadline-oriented

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong Excel

· Sage X-3 is a plus

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; Database software and Spreadsheet software.
