To support our growing operations, we have an “IMMEDIATE NEED” for a talented and experienced Door, Frame and Hardware / Security Superintendent- to join our team for a major public works project in Queens, New York. We are teaming with AECOM / Tishman Construction Corporation to deliver this project. It is anticipated that the selected candidate will work directly at the JFK- project site.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Overseeing the performance of Door, Frames, and Hardware installation and activities including, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects of this trade work; ensuring that trade activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to the project contract drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Assist in ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety and security regulations and standards. Conducting regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to standards.
Assist in coordinating the efforts of subcontractors and suppliers. Assist in coordinating Inspections, progress inspections, and sign- offs.
Assist in conducting progress meetings to communicate project status and manpower scheduling, among other things. (if necessary)
Assist in developing and maintaining schedules for trade-specific activities. Coordinate trade work with other trades and general construction activities. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of trade-specific materials and equipment.
Assist in maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, and other trade superintendents. Assist in preparing and submitting regular reports on trade-specific progress. Address and resolve any trade-related issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
Enforce safety policies and procedures Address and mitigate safety hazards promptly.
Qualifications:
3- 5 years of experience as a superintendent, with extensive experience in the specific trade: Carpentry- door, frame and hardware coordination and installation/ security.
Strong knowledge of trade-specific methods, materials, and regulations.
Proven ability to manage trade-specific work within larger construction projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Minimum Requirements / Required Skills:
AS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction; or a combination of work experience/ vocational (trade school training).
Expert knowledge of Doors, Frames and Hardware installation as relates to core and shell construction projects.
Well-developed communications, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills.
Overall understanding of industry; hands-on-experience; Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications.
Strong written, verbal communication, and management skills.
Team player, excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with others; excellent time management and organizational skills.
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products; with Knowledge of Prolog.
