Job Description

Allen Organ Company seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position reports to the Vice President of Production. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between manufacturing processes and our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system along with responsibilities with our safety program and environmental compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Designs, maintains, and improves manufacturing systems and processes. Work with Manufacturing/Purchasing/Production floor to solve various production issues.

· Responsible for bridging the gap between manufacturing processes and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring efficient data flow, optimizing production planning, and implementing system configurations to streamline operations by managing Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, item masters all while collaborating with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve issues related to system integration and data accuracy.

· Creates and maintains ECO (Engineering Change Orders), DCR (Document Change Requests), AMER (Alternate Material Evaluation Reports), SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions and New Parts Forms.

· Responsible for managing all controlled documents within a manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely distribution of the latest revisions by meticulously tracking, filing, and updating critical production documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings, while collaborating with various departments to maintain proper documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

· Responsible for implementing safety procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries while ensuring compliance with OSHA industry standards. Participate with the Safety Committee to conduct safety audits, investigations, training programs while providing guidance to staff to promote a safe working environment. Key duties include identifying potential hazards, assessing risks, developing preventative measures, and monitoring employee adherence to safety policies.

· Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's environmental compliance by monitoring activities, conducting audits, ensuring adherence to regulations, developing sustainability practices, and reporting environmental data to relevant agencies, all while working to minimize the organization's environmental impact.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards and efficiency optimization tools; process oriented.

Problem Solving/Decision Making: Taking a well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles, resistance, or ambiguity.

Possesses strong analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:

· HS Diploma or equivalent is required.

· Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field is a plus.

· 5 years’ experience is required.

· 7 years’ experience in manufacturing environment is required.

· Proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word.

· Previous experience using an ERP system, editing BOMs, creating labor plans etc., is required.

Proficiency with 3D CAD, FASTCAD and related programs is a plus.
