Under the direction of the Supervisor, Database Marketing, the Systems Specialist – Database Marketing will be responsible for leading the optimization, the loading and the tracking of redemptions of all database offers in the gaming systems. This role will be the point person on adoption of new gaming systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Creates tracking mechanisms such as comp IDs, offer IDs, and manual offers in the gaming system for onsite, offsite, and virtual offers.
2. Imports patrons with complete accuracy into designated segmentations for the activation of offers.
3. Is responsible for on call issues regarding: the loading of offers into systems, accounts, and go live offers to send confirmation email to promo validation.
4. Acts as the subject matter expert for database marketing systems, including but not limited to the player tracking system and player kiosks.
5. Generates redemption, issuance, and status reports from the source systems as needed.
6. Troubleshoots patron offers and communicates those findings to key stakeholders.
7. Creates, maintains and archives promotions in the player kiosks for direct mail and email campaigns.
8. Leads the integration of all required database marketing systems data into the data warehouse, works with the data services team.
9. Recommends improved processes to improve operational efficiencies and redemptions of offers.
10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science preferred.
Experience in systems, preferably loyalty and gaming is preferred
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must be able to work in fast paced, high-performance environment with tight deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail is required.
Ability to self-manage project based upon defined timelines and variable outcomes required.
Preferred experience in working with relational databases preferred.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Must have typing and computer experience preferably knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with stressful situations.
Must be self-directing, self-motivated and able to work independently.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled casino and office setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
