Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Quality Control Tech I to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in the Quality department performing package evaluations that may include Integrity, Appearance, Functionality, Atmosphere, Codes and Dates, UPC and Label correctness before shipping the product out.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform evaluations on finished products
Maintain records of findings and highlight non-conformance
Inform operators, mechanics. Line leaders and Managers of issues that are found
Ensure Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP compliance throughout the facility
Verification of metal detection program and x-ray program compliance
Validates accuracy of measurements and equipment for quality measurement
Ensure information for actions and standards are available and communicated to all staff that require to make informed decisions and minimum defects
Identifies and acts to prevent unacceptable product shipment to customer
Check and verify label stock
Maintain a clean and organized work space
Requirements and Qualifications
Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; production work experience would be a plus
Stand/Sit for long periods of time
Able to grip, grasp, or twist using your hands and wrist regularly
Bend and stoop for long periods of time during the day
Good communication skills
