Eventide Senior Living is currently seeking a Culinary Coordinator to work part time either 530a-2p or 6a-230p at the Eventide Fargo Campus in Fargo, ND (near Scheels arena).
The Culinary Coordinator assists the Director Nutrition and Culinary in all aspects of the day to day operation of the kitchen. In addition, the Culinary Coordinator, assists in nurturing a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring that all staff perform at a consistently high level. The Culinary Coordinator also works towards motivating employees, instilling accountability and achieving results to drive success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares high quality meals according to standardized recipes while using and directing the use of accurate portion control standards.
Monitors the entire dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction of meal service.
Supervises staff and overall function within dining room throughout meal times and through day-to-day functions within the kitchen and dining room by assuring all dining assistants and cooks understand expectations and are held accountable.
Ensures that the all dining rooms, kitchen, kitchenettes, and storage areas are clean and sanitized.
Checks all menus daily to verify that all necessary items are prepared as needed.
Checks temperatures of food products and documents in temperature log. Stores leftovers properly according to food handling standards
Follows food safe protocols by ensuring that food is stored, labeled, and handled appropriately.
Operates equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
Inventories and orders food products; ensuring adequate inventory of items on hand.
Placing all food and beverage orders accurately and on-time while assuring cost-effectiveness in the products being ordered.
Actively involved in Resident Food Council Meetings.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required
Culinary degree is preferred
2 year of cooking and/or supervisor experience preferred
