Part-time Cafe Attendant

Kendal at Hanover is seeking a part-time Cafe Attendant. The Cafe Attendant serves residents, guests, and staff in the Cafe in an efficient and organized manner, assisting in food preparation and maintaining a sanitary work and service area.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Assuring prompt service to all Kendal residents according to their individual needs.

Demonstrating knowledge of the menu, including daily specials.

Understanding the grocery program and items available for special orders, and having the ability to relay these options to residents and staff.

Receiving orders for box lunches and grocery orders

Maintaining service efficiency by performing pre- and post-meal side work as required.

Alerting management to any problems or concerns that arise.

Assuring sanitation of the Cafe by thoroughly cleaning all work areas before, during, and after service.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and one - three months of related experience and/or training.

The scheduled hours for this position are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.25 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
