About the Role:
The Foodservice Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our foodservice department, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of food preparation, customer service, and inventory management. Interns will work closely with experienced staff to learn best practices in food safety, quality control, and service excellence. The ultimate goal of this internship is to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the foodservice industry. By the end of the internship, candidates will have gained valuable insights into the operational dynamics of a foodservice environment and developed a strong foundation for future career opportunities in this field.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in the foodservice industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a foodservice or hospitality role.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Current enrollment in a culinary, hospitality, or business program.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Help with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and tracking food supplies.
Engage with customers to provide excellent service and address any inquiries or concerns.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills related to foodservice sales operations.
