The Opportunity:

FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Internship

We are seeking an analytical and strategic thinker to join our team as an FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on learning and contribution to our financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational analysis. Length of Internship: TBD

Time Commitment: Available to work at least 30+ hours per week during the academic year, or full-time for recent graduates.

This is a hybrid position that requires two (2) days onsite in Duluth, GA.

How you will make an impact:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Support the FP&A team with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

Help with the consolidation of financial data for executive-level decision-making

Collaborate on the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

Participate in the annual budgeting process, including data collection and entry

Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by the FP&A team or senior management

Assist with the improvement of automation of financial reporting and forecasting tools

Participate in the analysis of financial results, including identifying trends and investigating variances

Support the FP&A team with the preparation of presentations for board meetings, investor meetings, and internal reviews

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of data

Help ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and laws

Participate in special projects related to financial planning and analysis as needed

Facilitate data validation and cleanup to ensure data integrity in financial systems

Learn and utilize financial systems and tools such as ERP, BI, and Excel for analysis and reporting

Assist in the preparation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor business performance.

What you need to succeed:

High school diploma or GED.

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field

A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)

Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Highly motivated and eager to take on responsibility and learn new skills
