We have a manufacturing opening for an experienced operator at our Manlius, NY facility.

General Description/Purpose:The Rough Mill Utility A will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, andvendor satisfaction.

The Rough Mill Utility A does this by the operation of various mechanical and computeraided machines which require the operator to set up, run and conduct basic maintenance of the equipment andmay be required to run one or more than one machine.

The Rough Mill Utility A is exposed to high volume ofproduct and is responsible for dimensional and yield accuracy.

The Rough Mill Utility A completes thesefunctions in the manufacture of furniture parts and pieces.

Job Responsibilities:1.

Identify a variety of wood species products including but not limited to the following wood species:Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers and make grade related decisions on a daily basisbased on established Stickley standards2.

Reports to their supervisor for direction daily and promptly report any questions or problems.3.

Read, comprehend, and full fill production tickets and print scan tags as needed4.

Read and Interpret part drawings5.

Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy6.

Perform preventive maintenance as required by preventative maintenance sheets and correctly log anyand all preventive maintenance done with any corresponding machine problems and or information7.

Set up work in the safest, most efficient manner per specifications and when no other jobs are noted asneeded line up jobs in a manner that minimizes setup time8.

Assist in off bearing as needed9.

Operate assigned machines and mechanical and computer aided equipment/machines to produce required partsand pieces and achieve defined production goals10.
