Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):

Deliver on all projects ensuring budgets and committed lead times are met

Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):

Lead & mange all projects elements, including technical risks, schedule, costs, per ISO9001processes and internal stage gate procedure

Meet or exceed customer expectations from conception to production launch

Lead & manage activities associated with Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly of customer requirements

Enhance customer perception through showcasing technical expertise & value-added activities

Provide technical feedback in the estimating function for part cost, tooling and revisions.

Evaluate the need and justification of purchasing auxiliary equipment

Evaluate all project requirements and the resources needed to meet customer requirements

Manage all project tracking inputs and outputs (cost, schedule, and actions)

Communicate regularly with customers consisting of; technical, schedule, costs and risks

Provide communication and technical support to the cross functional team internally on all projects

Provide weekly updates on engineering metrics

Adhere to ISO9001 standards for all documents & procedures pertaining to New Product Development Stage Gate Process

Engage in completion of PFMEA’s/DFMEA/APQP as defined by customer requirements

Coordinate mold sampling and review inspection activities to ensure part compliance

Manage BOM creations including; defining Raw Materials, components, packaging, secondary operations and any outside services needs

Coordinate project meetings for successful launches into production

Support defined customer base

Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers and suppliers

Continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience

Performs all other assignments as required

Qualities for Success:

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Project Management

OR

7-10 years progressive job experience, in plastic injection molding industry including at least one year of Project Management experience

Industry experience working with Straight injection, Multi Structural Foam, gas Assist, Structural Web, Injection Foam, 2-Shot processes is preferred

Working knowledge in;

3D CAD program: preferred Solid Works/Creo

Microsoft Office Programs

Experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques

Self-motivated individual who can make decisions

Experience with good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives/programs. Specific to ISO standards

Knowledgeable in ERP, MRP or other integrated scheduling computer systems

Physical & Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit (using a computer), reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and walk. The employee might occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

This position is often required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
