This person will have communications with both internal and external customers. They must display a high level of professionalism, be motivated, self-starter, and have the ability to work unsupervised at times. This person will learn all shipping duties and will be the backup for the Shipping Coordinator.
This position’s primary responsibility is to assist the Shipping Coordinator with duties including but not be limited to assisting shipping personnel in truck loading and unloading of all inbound and outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner, complete required paperwork and record transfers in the computer. In addition, this person will be the Shipping Coordinator’s vacation and relief person.
Hours for shift will be dertmined upon hire date and are subject to change.
Work schedule; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Wage is $30.47 an hour ($63,377 annually)

Responsibilities
Understand truck loading policy and lumber stacking policy.
Process required paper work for transferred product.
Process transferred product using the computer.
Must be willing to attend any training necessary to upgrade performance.
Operate a Lift Truck in a safe manner.
Must be willing to train any employees as assigned by supervisor.
Work some weekends and overtime to meet the needs of the operation.
Be a team player while being able to work independently as well.
Working knowledge of lumber species and product mix preferred but not required.
Ability to identify attributes and barcodes is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Must hold and/or obtain Hampton PIT
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Effectively interact with our lumber carriers, vendors, and sales team
Experience with shipping processes including paperwork and data entry is preferred but not required
Good hand/eye coordination
Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook and Lumber track is
preferred but not required
Strong attention to details, good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
