Job Title: Server - DINNER
Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing guests with an exceptional dining experience by delivering high-quality service in a friendly, efficient, and attentive manner. This role requires thorough knowledge of the menu, a focus on guest satisfaction, and the ability to manage food and beverage orders accurately. The Server will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Communication:
Greet guests promptly and ensure they are welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. Use detailed knowledge of the menu to explain offerings, specials, and promotions, answer questions, and make recommendations as needed.
Order Management:
Take food and beverage orders accurately, entering them into the POS system quickly and correctly. Ensure all special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
Food & Beverage Delivery:
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner. Retrieve orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate table sections, ensuring that all orders are correct and presented well.
Guest Engagement & Observation:
Monitor guests’ needs throughout their dining experience. Assess guest demeanor and escalate any issues to management when necessary, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
Payment Handling:
Process payments accurately, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and ensuring all financial transactions are correct. Provide guests with accurate change and receipts in a timely manner.
Table Maintenance & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by pre-bussing tables, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing necessary items (napkins, condiments, etc.). Ensure tables are properly set up and cleaned at the beginning and end of each shift.
Shift Responsibilities & Teamwork:
Perform opening, closing, and shift-change duties as required. Work collaboratively with team members to meet business needs and ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Adherence to Safety & Sanitation Standards:
Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and staff.
Collaboration & Support:
Assist other team members during busy periods or as needed. Foster a cooperative work environment to promote high morale and effective teamwork.
Perform additional duties as required to enhance the guest experience and contribute to team success.
Requirements:
Must be available between 3pm-10pm.
Communication Skills:
Fluency in English, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Professional Appearance & Stamina:
Neat, clean, and professional appearance with the stamina to stand for long periods and work long or split shifts.
Physical Ability:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs multiple times a day and perform other physical tasks as needed.
Teamwork & Urgency:
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility & Schedule:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience:
Previous experience in a waitstaff or food service role is preferred, but not required.
