Contractor Sought

Associated Couriers is looking for a dependable and professional independent contractor courier for one, or all, of the following:

Routed Deliveries - Varying routes that normally have a set recurring schedule to them. **NOTE: routes may change unexpectedly based on customer needs

STAT/On-Demand - Last-minute pickups and orders dispatched from a route manager or customer

Backup/Standby - Fill-in for route voids

Services Sought

For this contract, you will be picking up and delivering pharmacy medications and medical supplies.

Coverage Sought

Reliable independent contractors with availability to run orders: On Demand

Monday- Friday 5pm to 10pm

Destinations: Charlottesville, Richmond, Norfolk area, Fayetteville, NC

*preference given to contractors with 4+ days of availability

Contractor Commissions

Earned in one or more of the following ways: per mile, per route, per stop (plus variable fuel surcharge in some of our markets) or flat rate

Earned weekly through our third-party pay administrator Openforce

Specific commission details to be discussed in the pre-contracting process

Requirements for Contract

Per insurance requirements, eligible contractors will be between 21 and 75 years of age

Attentive to detail

Live within 25 miles to zip code 23235

Own a reliable and registered Car, SUV, or Minivan that would be used for this contract (2009 or newer)

Have and maintain state minimum requirements for bodily injury and property damage as primary auto insurance

At your choice: maintain your own qualifying workers' compensation insurance or participate in the Occupational Accident Insurance program for a weekly fee

Be able to complete contractor-qualifying screenings and online delivery preparation modules

Have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last three years

Have a smartphone to use for GPS order tracking and order scanning

Supply a cooler with reusable ice-packs to transport temperature controlled specimens

Have or willing to purchase a small dolly for transporting materials

Willing to drive in inclement weather to service our c
