Front Counter Sales Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Partners Personnel is looking for a Front Counter Sales Representative

Summary: Handles counter sales and assures that customers’ orders are handled to a level consistent with the customer’s satisfaction and compatible with KAM standards of excellence.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Greet and consult with customers on what items the customers need.

Enter new orders into the system for will-call pick up.

Ask and probe customers regarding their steel purchases to try to increase our own market share.

Update and maintain current information on customers.

Assist with pulling orders and loading customers as needed.

Serve as back up for sales and customer service calls.

Other duties may be assigned by my manager, as needed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with great enthusiasm, as well as a good attitude.

Education/Experience:

This job requires a High School diploma/GED, as well as a minimum of one-year experience in sales and/or a call center environment.

Language ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Mathematical skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Reasoning ability:

Apply common sense and understanding, able to carry out instructions in written or verbal form.

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Must be able to make responsible decisions.

Computer skills:

Word processing, spreadsheets, E-mail, database software and internet.

Ten Key by touch is preferred but not mandatory.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Fast Paced.

Steel toe boots, scanner and radio must be worn at all times.

Hard Hat and Tool Belt required when in the warehouse.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is required to do a lot of talking, listening and thinking.

There is some walking required as well as reaching with hands when assisting in warehouse.

Able to lift 50 lbs. without issue.
