LOCATION: Flexible — Preferred location between San Antonio and New Mexico (covering Texas, New Mexico, and surrounding oil & gas regions; frequent travel to the Permian Basin required)
CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to drive revenue growth across its expanding power generation portfolio. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a high-potential, quality-driven company at a pivotal moment as they scale their presence in the oil & gas sector.
You’ll report directly to executive leadership and play a critical role in selling large natural gas generators, with plans to expand into diesel generators and electrical distribution equipment. With a superior product offering — featuring quality components, no shortcuts, and industry-leading innovations — you’ll have the support of a product that sells itself, focusing on value over low price.
This role is best suited for a driven sales professional with strong oilfield connections who can penetrate the operator and rental markets and build strategic relationships from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence across a multi-state territory.
Sell industrial power generation equipment to clients across the oil & gas sector and related industries.
Manage the full sales cycle — including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients, including operators, rental companies, and other key stakeholders.
Represent the company with professionalism across diverse environments, from field operations to executive boardrooms.
Work closely with leadership to refine compensation structures and help shape long-term sales strategies.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, emphasizing quality, durability, and superior engineering.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets while promoting a high-integrity, customer-first sales approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven sales experience in power generation, industrial equipment, or oilfield services.
Existing book of business or strong network in the oil & gas industry, particularly in Texas, New Mexico, and the Permian Basin.
Deep understanding of operator and rental company dynamics in the oilfield.
Ability to build credibility quickly with both field-level personnel and executive leadership.
Comfortable operating independently with a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset.
Highly professional, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-evolving, quality-first environment.
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Experience navigating evolving or performance-based compensation structures a plus.
Technical experience with power generation equipment is a bonus but not required — product expertise can be taught, but industry relationships are critical.
