Color Batch Maker

A manufacturing company is seeking a Color Batch Maker to add specific quantities of certain raw materials to a batch tank or grinding mill according to the written formula. You will work Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

Weigh and/or measure quantities of solvents, resins, pigments, and additives into blending tank or grind mill according to ticket

Watch mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc.

Once finished, take product sample to Quality Control Lab or inspection

Check production batches, make adjustments when necessary, and recheck batch

Use proper analytical tools to compare product to specifications and record results onto batch card and into computer database

Consult Quality Control Manual for specific requirements and calibrate equipment as required

Maintain a neat and orderly work area

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience in Manufacturing Filling Area is preferred

Must have the ability to determine correct batch making procedures while reading and comprehending batch tickets

Must achieve required color testing score

Must have good math and measurement skills

Must be able to multi-task while being safety minded

Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 75 pounds, and occasionally 400 to 500 pounds with provided equipment

Must have the ability to work independently and keep work area neat and clean

Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
