Software Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a new Software Engineer who will be responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining products and/or systems to enable Sage’s business plans and long-term objectives using the identified architecture.
As a Software Engineer at Sage, you will be an effective and productive member of the Software Engineering team – engaging in the development of software to extend our product suite and also working on a new product for Manufacturing and Distribution.
*** This is a hybrid role – you will work 3 days a week from our Lisbon office. ***
Key Responsibilities:
What you will be doing:
- Developing, delivering, maintaining and implementing high quality technical solutions.
- Maintaining relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.
- Ensuring all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
- Contributing to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code.
- Resolving defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
- Partnering effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments.
- Working cross-functionally with various Sage teams: product management, QA/XD, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results.
Requirements:
- Professional development experience with Sage X3
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of software development.
- Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to put into practice knowledge and learning in the form of development tasks.
- Awareness of one or more relevant programming languages, frameworks and databases (Javascript/Typescript/Nodejs/NPM)
- Be an active and enthusiastic team player
- Be willing to adapt to significant changes in either technology or environment
- Nice to have: Knowledge in Crystal reports
