Saw/Fab/Mill Summary:
The fabrication department processes raw materials, using saws, mills, drill presses, and etc as specified by workorders and Kanban’s, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and must have the ability to work in a team environment. To perform this job successfully an individual will have the ability to read/understand work orders and how to read/use a tape measure or other necessary measuring devices and have reliable and consistent work history with good attendance. Candidate must be able to successfully complete the Physical Capacity Profile (PCP) to required standard and Pre-employment drug screen. The duties and responsibilities below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability.Duties and Responsibilities:
Attention to detail, Comprehend and complete, work orders and Kanban’s by description
Deliver parts to correct location to be completed.
Organize work by requested order and complete in a timely fashion.
Conduct all work in a safe manor, including work around a forklift, pallet mover, step stool and staircase
Maintain housekeeping and 6s of area
Follow all Aluma Safety and Company policies and procedures including the use of all required PPE.
Maintain all Aluma quality standards including recognize parts issues and defects so they can be corrected
Assist in training new employees / Cross train fellow employees
Perform all other duties as assigned by line leader, supervisor or management.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that mut be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. force frequently and lift 10-20 lbs. consistently.
Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours.
Must be able to use hands to handle or feel; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and ability to use a steel stool.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required include, close, distance, color, depth and peripheral vision. Hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Monday through Thursday.
