Job Description
The CNC machinist will operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut and produce precision parts for machines, instruments, and tools. The CNC Machinist repairs and produces parts using both manual and automated equipment with precise measurements. The CNC machinists' goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and understand blueprint designs
Set up machinery for production
Rework metal to create the blueprint design
Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery
Maintain a clean and organized working environment
Complete routine maintenance of their machinery
Enter all relevant codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNC

Minimum Qualifications:
Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail
Great verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Knowledge of metal properties and other material
Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
