Job Title: Automation Service Mechanic

Location: S Muddy Creek Road, Denver, PA 17517

Shift: 3rd Shift (7:00 PM – 5:30 AM) 4-day workweek, 10-hour shifts Rotating days off Flexibility for weekends and overtime required.

Pay Rate: $27.10/hour to start (Eligible for higher rates based on skillset and skills assessment)

Note: Selected candidates will complete a skills assessment during their interview.

Position Purpose

The Automation Service Mechanic is critical to maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and operational success of our automated distribution systems. Working under the supervision of an Automation Supervisor or Superintendent, you will perform preventive maintenance, drive process improvements, provide hands-on repair support, and ensure equipment uptime.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Complete required safety training and consistently follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, safe access protocols, fall protection).

Maintain detailed maintenance records using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and service responses to keep automation systems operating smoothly.

Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostic support for mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.

Maintain inventory by tracking part usage and assisting with inventory counts.

Collaborate with operating teams, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes.

Requirements

Tools: Must initially provide your own set of hand tools (tool list provided).

Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Perform repetitive motion tasks (arm, wrist, hand).

Work overhead, under equipment, at ground level, and at heights up to 80 feet.

Function in extreme temperatures (0 ree;F to 90 ree;F).

Skills & Experience:

Comfortable working with voltages up to 480V.

Mechanically inclined with strong maintenance and repair skills.

Able to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.

Proficient with PLC troubleshooting, controller adjustments, and sensor calibrations.

Comfortable using computer programs for diagnostics and documentation.

Quick learner with the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.

Additional Information

Weekend work and overtime may be required.

Candidates should expect to demonstrate their technical skills through a hands-on assessment during the interview process.
