JOB SUMMARY
A maintenance technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems within a facility. This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently, minimizing downtime, and preventing costly breakdowns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply with Eco Material Technologies’ safety policies and procedures.
Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently. This includes conducting routine inspections, checking for leaks, and testing equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition and prevent breakdowns. This can include lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and cleaning filters.
Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and their own expertise.
Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary.
Work with both electrical and mechanical systems within the facility.
Respond to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work, share information, and address issues.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and new maintenance techniques.
Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems once they are completed.
May be required to be on-call.
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards.
Must have technical expertise of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Ability to diagnose issues with equipment and systems by using diagnostic tools, observing symptoms, and testing components.
Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools.
Adaptable and willing to learn and multi tasks and set priorities. Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to collaborate and work with coworkers to solve complex problems.
Ability to stay up to date with advancements in technology and new maintenance techniques.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training certificate or associate’s degree in related field a plus
1-3 years' experience in a relevant field.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
Prolong standing or in stationary position
Complete repetitive movements
Bend and/or twist
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
Must tolerate an environment with inside ambient temperatures.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hard hat protection, safety shoes etc.)
