Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Bartender/Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, multitask efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service. The Server/Bartender will play a key role in ensuring a memorable dining experience for our patrons by delivering food, drinks, and excellent service. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, stay organized, and maintain a positive attitude is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence: Greet and seat customers promptly, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.
Order Taking & Delivery: Take food and beverage orders accurately from customers, ensuring that all orders are delivered to the table in a timely manner.
Menu Knowledge: Distribute menus and provide customers with information about daily specials, menu items, and drinks. Answer questions regarding the menu and make recommendations.
Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (Bartender duties) in accordance with restaurant standards. Ensure all drinks are served according to quality guidelines.
Order Accuracy: Place food and beverage orders accurately in the point-of-sale system and ensure orders are delivered as requested.
Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are clean, set with necessary utensils, napkins, and condiments. Clear used plates and items from tables in a timely manner.
Customer Satisfaction: Regularly check in with customers to ensure their needs are met. Resolve any issues regarding food, drinks, or service with urgency and professionalism.
Payment Collection: Prepare customer checks, collect payments, and ensure correct transactions.
Assist with Restaurant Operations: Support with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Help in setting up silverware, condiments, and other supplies for future service.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure all orders are processed and served correctly. Assist colleagues during busy periods and work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service.
Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and company policies, including age verification for alcohol service (must be at least 21 years old).
Skills & Qualifications:
Customer-Focused: Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Multi-Tasking: Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, from taking orders and serving food to assisting customers and handling payments.
Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in food and beverage orders, checks, and customer service.
Organizational Skills: Ability to keep track of customer needs and orders in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Experience: Previous experience as a server or bartender is preferred, but not required.
POS System Knowledge: Ability to operate point-of-sale systems to place orders and process payments accurately.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, as well as lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
Training: Must successfully complete the restaurant’s training program.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
