Overview:
The Design & Communications Coordinator will manage the church's design and communication efforts, ensuring a consistent, professional, and visually compelling presence across both digital and physical platforms. This role requires an eye for aesthetics and a commitment to creating engaging, high-quality visual content that reflects the heart and mission of the church. We see creativity as a powerful tool for sharing the gospel and discipling our people. While we’re still developing our visual identity, we have a strong foundation to build on—through web, social media, photography, and design—and we’re excited to take it further. We’re looking for someone to help us grow our communication and creative efforts in fresh, impactful ways.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
Create artwork packages for sermon series and adapt designs for sermon slides, announcements, digital signage, motion graphics for worship, and other church-related media.
Design and produce physical media, including shirts, giving envelopes, invitations, banners, and street signage.
Communications:
Shape and unify the visual and narrative style of all communication materials.
Design and create a weekly email newsletter to the congregation that is both informative and personable.
Administrative Duties:
Gather communication requests from staff and ministry leaders for upcoming events and announcements.
Plan, schedule, and prioritize the communication needs of the church.
Organize and ensure timely distribution of materials across various communication platforms.
Website Management:
Regularly update website content (e.g., events calendar, ministry pages, etc.).
Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to ensure website content is up-to-date and reflects necessary information.
Keep the website visually appealing with fresh photos and content updates.
Manage Contractors/Volunteers:
Manage contractors and volunteers for social media, photography, and video production—including planning, shooting, and revisions—and occasionally executes these tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Proven track record of creative work, demonstrated through an existing portfolio (please include in application).
Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
Experience with email marketing tools (MailChimp).
Strong understanding of website content management systems (Squarespace).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience with video production or a desire to learn it.
Willingness to collaborate with a variety of team members and volunteers.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-Time (on-site)
Work week: Majority of hours will be Monday through Thursday.
Weekends: Occasional Sunday and/or Friday hours.
Compensation based on experience.
