Job Description
We’re seeking the right person to join our Wire Harness Assembly team. Are you ready to help make a difference and achieve results in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment?Essential Functions & Accountabilities
Follow detailed wiring schematics, blueprints, and boat layout diagrams to route and secure wire harnesses throughout various boat models.
Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires using hand tools and power tools to prepare for assembly.
Use labeling systems to ensure wires are properly marked for identification and traceability.
Review work orders and specifications to determine materials, wire gauges, connectors, and harness configurations needed.
Select and load materials such as workpieces and connectors onto equipment used in coiling or harnessing processes.
Install and secure completed harnesses into boat hulls and console systems using cable ties, clamps, fasteners, and other mounting methods.
Perform continuity testing and visual inspection to verify integrity and correctness of wiring assemblies.
Identify and troubleshoot faulty connections or wiring errors and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain clean, organized workstations and adhere to 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
Communicate any issues with blueprints, materials, or wiring layouts to supervisors or engineering staff.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., electrical, mechanical, quality control) to ensure proper integration and function of harness assemblies.
Maintain production and quality logs as required.Qualifications
Proven ability to make precise, coordinated movements using fingers and hands to manipulate small wires, tools, and components.
Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
Ability to identify different wire gauges, connectors, and terminals commonly used in marine electrical systems.
Familiarity with basic electrical concepts such as polarity, grounding, circuit protection, and signal paths.
Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production deadlines.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of production as needed.
Must be comfortable working in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or prior experience in electrical assembly, boat manufacturing, or automotive/aerospace wiring is a plus.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators.
The employee is regularly required to be on their feet; occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Constant use of hands/hand tools for assembly, fine manipulation, inspecting parts, and/or machine operating. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Employees must be able to work a 10-hour shift or more in one workday, including planned and unplanned overtime.
Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud and is non-climate controlled.
