About the Role

MQ Automation is looking for a technically-minded Automation Specialist – Sales to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, robotics, and controls who thrives in a solution-oriented sales environment. Based in Ohio, you'll help customers implement customized automation solutions that improve their processes and boost efficiency.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary technical sales support for our customers and internal staff

Develop and manage accounts in your assigned territory

Conduct on-site and remote product demos and technical sales calls

Collaborate with manufacturers like Balluff, Bosch, Euchner, Lenze, Oriental Motor, Schmersal, or Wago

Coordinate lunch & learns, training sessions, and seminars with our partners

Work closely with Project Managers to support active customer projects

Drive revenue by growing both new and existing customer relationships

Support account representatives in selling MRO and industrial supplies

Help with quoting, technical problem solving, and customer communication

Who You Are

Technically inclined and solutions-driven

Go GETTER. Self Motivated

Able to communicate clearly with engineers and decision-makers alike

Familiar with machine design basics – including Electrical, Controls, Pneumatics, Robotics, and Hydraulics

Skilled at navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

Comfortable with tools like Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

Willing to travel locally and occasionally overnight (10-20%)
