Job Description

Industrial Communications West, a division of Viaero Wireless Technologies, is adding certified Generator Techs to their team; one based out of Western NE and one based out of Northeast NE. The techs provide installation, maintenance and repair of our propane/diesel powered generators used to run our cell towers. The Generator Tech must lead and assist other team members with maintenance issues that may occur, and coordinate with management on scheduling and issues that occur in the field.

Certified Generator Technician strongly preferred

At least 1 year of Electrical experience required

Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with good driving record

Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law

Strong attention to detail

Effective communication skills

Ability to teach/mentor crew members

Maintain accurate and timely documentation both for work completed and maintenance/supplies needed

Must be able to lift and move items weighing between 50 and 100 pounds

Must be able to travel regionally, which will include overnight stays on weeknights (work schedule is Monday through Friday)

Required or Preferred Experience:

Generator installation and maintenance experience is required, along with ability to follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices

Class A CDL is a plus

Generator battery installation/testing/maintenance experience is a plus
