Trading Applications Support Analyst (Hong Kong)

We are seeking a highly motivated Trading Applications Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for trading applications across multiple asset classes. The ideal candidate will have experience with various trading platforms, strong technical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Perm Position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide functional and technical support for trading applications, ensuring smooth operations across multiple asset classes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, liaising with vendors and internal teams as needed.

- Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and IT teams to optimize system performance and usability.

- Monitor system health, performance, and connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime.

- Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

- Assist in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve functionality and efficiency.

- Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for trading application users.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

- Around 5- 8 Years of experience with trading platforms such as Calypso, Murex, FIS Front Arena, ION Trading, or Summit.

- Candidates with stronger experience can go for senior / lead positions.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and troubleshooting.

- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments, including command-line operations and shell scripting.

- Knowledge of Python for automation and data analysis.

- Familiarity with financial instruments across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.

- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to interact effectively with traders, IT teams, and vendors.
