We are looking for an experienced Equities Trading Applications Support Analyst to provide functional and technical support for Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), and Market Connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong FIX protocol expertise, experience with trading systems, and a deep understanding of equities trading workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 application support for OMS, EMS, and market connectivity solutions used in equities trading.
- Monitor and troubleshoot FIX connectivity issues, ensuring seamless trade execution.
- Support market data feeds and exchange connectivity, working closely with internal teams and vendors.
- Work directly with traders, technology teams, and exchanges to resolve real-time trading issues.
- Perform system health checks, proactive monitoring, and escalation of incidents as needed.
- Assist with platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications and automate support workflows.
- Create and maintain documentation on processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in trading applications support within equities markets. Candidates with more experience may have a senior or manager-level title.
- Hands-on experience with OMS (e.g., Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, FlexTrade, Fidessa) and EMS (e.g., Triton, Portware, Instinet, ION Fidessa, Bloomberg EMSX).
- Strong understanding of FIX protocol, trade routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting trade discrepancies.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments, including command-line operations and shell scripting.
- Python scripting skills for automation and log analysis.
- Familiarity with market structures, trading venues, and exchange connectivity across Asia, Europe, and U.S. markets.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support traders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting low-latency trading environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., MiFID II, SEC Rule 606).
- Exposure to risk management systems and compliance monitoring tools.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment with quick turnaround times.
