Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating CNC brake presses, setting up machines autonomously, and performing sheet metal bending and rolling. This role involves working with precision instruments and fabricating parts to meet dimensional tolerances as specified by engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC brake press and set up machines autonomously.
Perform sheet metal bending, rolling, and planishing.
Engage in resistance welding and plasma cutting.
Set up and run shear, CNC Turret Punch Press, Punch Press, Press Brake, Spotwelder, and other equipment.
Fabricate parts to dimensional tolerances as required by engineering drawings.
Check all operations from material gauge and type through shearing, punching, or forming.
Figure shear size and flat pattern layout using height gauges and other precision instruments.
Work independently and collaboratively to develop guidelines for sheet metal assemblies.
Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or outside the sheet metal department.Skills
Expertise in sheet metal fabrication, including CNC press brake and sheet metal bending.
Experience with sheet metal rolling, planishing, and roll forming.
Proficiency in resistance welding and plasma cutting.
Knowledge of aerospace sheet metal processes.

Work Environment
The work environment involves repetitive tasks, producing pieces in batches of 20-30, with 2-3 different setups daily, subject to fluctuation. Training will take place on the 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 6 AM – 4:30 PM. Openings are available for the 2nd shift from 4 PM – 2:30 AM. The role requires fabricating parts to dimensional tolerances and working independently or collaboratively to develop production guidelines.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, California.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.50/hr.
