Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Risk Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and improving our insurance programs while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities:
• Design and execute insurance programs that safeguard organizational assets and align with financial goals.
• Manage daily insurance operations, including policy issuance, binder management, and tracking exposures for insurance purposes.
• Oversee relationships with brokerage firms, consultants, and other parties to secure and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the insurance program.
• Monitor and manage the renewal strategy for insurance policies, ensuring timely applications and addressing coverage issues.
• Handle insurance claims in collaboration with the Risk Management team as needed.
• Prepare and deliver insurance-related reports, including monthly deductible updates and Audit Committee presentations.
• Organize staff training sessions to improve understanding and efficiency in risk and insurance management.
• Lead project planning efforts, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective resource allocation.
• Support Board and Risk Management Committee meetings by preparing agendas, minutes, and required materials.
• Minimum of five years of experience in insurance, risk financing, or related fields, preferably within the healthcare or service industries.
• Proven expertise in managing insurance coverage renewals across multiple lines of coverage.
• Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree is preferred. Relevant certifications in risk management or insurance are a plus.
• Strong proficiency in tools such as Accurint, Archer, Bloomberg Terminal, and other risk management software.
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance policies and frameworks, including claim administration and auditing processes.
• Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills, particularly in assessing risk and developing management strategies.
• Experience delivering presentations and reports to senior leadership and committees.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
