Job Summary
Lead a team of cross-functional professionals for a specific period to deliver high-quality technology solutions to the business. Facilitate collaboration to create and agree upon a plan for delivering a solution, and then establish a baseline for ongoing tracking, whether by scope or functionality. The team will follow the chosen project management methodology and standard procedures to deliver the solution, consistently keeping the project team and stakeholders informed of progress, challenges, and strategies to address those challenges.
The scope of the role can vary from managing a program to overseeing a set of projects or a product, depending on the assignment. Resources may manage the entire project or specific parts of it. Financial management responsibilities may include oversight of the department, program, or projects, along with relevant procurement management activities.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Project Management:
Oversee multiple projects or phases of a larger strategic initiative. Responsible for coordinating activities, identifying necessary project resources, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks. Must be familiar with the project's scope and objectives, as well as the roles and functions of each team member, to effectively coordinate project activities. Communicate with team leaders and business unit stakeholders regarding the status of specific projects or tasks.
Project Delivery:
Facilitate the development, perform updates, and provide coaching on project management methodologies and standards. This includes project review and governance approval, as well as an understanding of agile or waterfall methodologies and how to apply their principles to achieve consistent results in project and product delivery and quality.
Organizational Change Management:
Assist in the development of processes which are aimed at helping stakeholders and the organization accept and embrace changes within the areas of responsibility.
PMO Governance:
Supports the development of, or continuously improves, and maintains project and process work standards, practices, and governance across AEP technology teams. Shares in the accountability for PMO, Project, Product, and process standards, practices, and governance.
Minimum Requirements:
Tech Project Manager (SG7):
Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Tech Project Manager Senior (SG8):
Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience/Skills:
Ability to complete and coordinate all project tasks and deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction, timely completion, and quality of deliverables.
Ability to ensure overall project success.
Ability to integrate different teams (co-sourcing, system integrator, business unit, and product vendors) in a remote model.
Ability to assess project risks and develop timely, proactive plans to mitigate those risks.
Candidate should have a working knowledge of established project management principles to support the PMO structure; PMP certification is preferred but not required.
Experience in Finance Portfolio is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with tools (e.g., Stakeholder Analysis, SIPOC) and processes for managing change is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: PMP and Agile certifications are preferred but not required.

Tech Project Manager (SG7): $85,081.00-$106,352.50 USD
Tech Project Manager Senior(SG8): $96,110.00-$124,940.00 USD
