The Job

Key Responsibilities:

Client Advocacy: Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance cases, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.

Case Management: Handle a diverse litigation caseload, conduct in-depth legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.

Negotiations: Engage with insurers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to negotiate favourable settlements.

Court Representation: Represent clients during hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials with a focus on delivering compelling and effective advocacy.

Legal Analysis: Review and analyse insurance policies, claims documentation, and relevant materials to assess case strategy.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to drive successful outcomes.

Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited US law school.

Active license to practice law in California (Los Angeles jurisdiction).

Minimum 7 years of litigation experience, specifically in first-party property insurance law.

Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships and generating new business.

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from inception to resolution.

Prior experience working with expert witnesses in insurance claim disputes.

Familiarity with bad faith insurance practices and litigation strategy.

Non-Negotiables:

Must be licensed to practice law in Los Angeles, California

Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Must be legally authorised to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
