Supply Chain Manager
Salary based on experience and cost of living in Maine
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be a key team player. Drawing upon your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in driving value added change. The successful Supply Chain Manager will manage and work closely with the supply chain team to define timelines, deliverables and
negotiate with vendors on Capital Projects and Raw Materials.
As the Supply Chain Manager, your focus will be on managing the supply chain for the MRO and materials needed for Production. You will be relied on to bring your expertise in the supply chain and implement cost saving initiatives, developing sourcing strategies and developing strong relationships with key suppliers to create value, reducing costs and driving innovation.
You’ll bring your expertise and knowledge and use it to negotiate with vendors and work closely with the in-house Engineers and Project Managers to contract capital equipment, parts and services and build relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, Contractors and internal stakeholders. You’ll be relied upon to help keep the projects on schedule for on-time completions and at the best prices for materials and transportation or service fulfillment.
You will regularly collaborate with vendors and internal customers to drive inventory optimization & develop sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and programs. Develop cost models, project plans to support supplier decisions and lead contract negotiations. Analyze process and operations to identify cost saving opportunities and improve supply chain operations.
You’ll work to improve quality, delivery and total costs through programs that improve profitability. Using a lean mindset, you’ll identify improvement opportunities of processes and materials and facilitate necessary change initiatives.
Minimum requirements for this Supply Chain Manager:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; prefer degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Engineering or similar degree
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment with experience in capital sourcing
• Purchasing experience required.
• Paper Industry experience preferred.
