JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Layout and arrange industrial blast and paint booths in SolidWorks.
Prepare manufacturing and construction detail drawings to meet customer specifications.
Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling of booth air flows
Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on design structures
Prepare and update Bill of Materials for each phase of the design.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard equipment within the Engineering department.
Communicate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Electrical Engineers at all phases of the project to ensure expectations are being met.
Play an active role in the Corrective Action process and take ownership in the continuous improvements of our products/designs.
Other tasks and duties based upon business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BSME from an ABET accredited university, preferred.
3+ years of experience using SolidWorks with an emphasis on sheet metal and weldments
Experience with the design and layout of industrial equipment and facilities.
Understanding of industrial plant operations and maintenance to help ensure systems can be efficiently installed and maintained in existing facilities a definite plus
Understand the various compliance requirements (OSHA 1910, NFPA 33 & 652, etc.) for our equipment and ensure that our delivered systems meet these requirements a definite plus
Working knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
Working knowledge of industrial HVAC and ventilation design a definite plus
Must be completely proficient with basic computer systems: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
Must be proficient with SolidWorks 3D
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational & critical thinking skills.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality drawings and documentation.
