Accounting Manager

Berks Packing has an immediate need for an experienced Accounting Manager.

Under general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager is a member of the Berks Packing management team who provides strategic input, makes recommendations, assists with establishing policy, and attends monthly financial review meetings.

Plans, directs and coordinates the credit, receivables, and payables functions.

Duties include providing leadership to staff; managing the daily activities of the credit, receivables, and payables functions, planning the use of human resources and formulating policies and procedures; analyzing credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit; and preparing reports with credit information for use in decision making.

Effectively develops and implements department systems that achieve efficient and economical credit, accounts receivable, accounts payable management.

TOOLS and TECHNOLOGY Microsoft Office proficiency with emphasis on Excel.

Internet proficiency.

Proficiency in Accounting Software.

Familiarity with ERP (Sage X3). Experience with lock box and other electronic banking programs.

Experience with customer portals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience.

Experience in a lean, conservative, mid-sized manufacturing company, within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred or any other equivalent combination of education and experience.
