Senior QA Engineer Compatibility Testing

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead compatibility testing across our cybersecurity products and various backup and storage platforms (e.g., Dell, Veritas, IBM, Commvault). You'll work within a Linux-based development environment, ensuring our software integrates seamlessly with evolving third-party systems.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the scrum team to validate interoperability between our products and backup/storage platforms.

Develop and execute detailed test plans for compatibility and functional QA.

Maintain and upgrade backup software systems and associated licenses.

Generate backup data using VMs, databases, and file systems for test scenarios.

Stay current on software updates, OS patches, and agent versions.

Test database integrations from multiple technical perspectives.

Required Skills & Experience 7–10+ years in QA engineering with a strong background in manual testing.

5+ years working in Linux environments, with basic admin skills.

5+ years with backup solutions, storage technologies, and databases.

Hands-on with REST API testing (Postman, cURL), bash scripting, and Python (1+ year). Familiar with Agile processes and strong communication/team collaboration.

Experience with VMs, server environments, and database encryption.

Comfortable working across time zones and independently in a matrixed structure.

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications Windows OS experience (3+ years) Jira, Confluence proficiency Database administration knowledge Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
