Job Title: Onsite Support Failure Analysis Engineer (OSS FAE) Location: Franklin, Massachusetts Position Type: Full-time Pay Type: Salary - please include salary requirements along with your resume submission Job Description: As an Onsite Support Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and system failures, ensuring optimal performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability.

This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and a deep understanding of computer hardware and software environments.

Key Responsibilities:Perform detailed failure analysis on defective products to identify root causes and document findings.

Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer hardware components, including drives, boards, CPUs, GPUs, RAM, and PCIe devices.

Execute and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with minimal supervision.

Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on failure analysis.

Utilize knowledge of Windows and Linux OS environments to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.

Use basic terminal knowledge (PowerShell in Windows, CLI in Linux) to perform diagnostics and collect data.

Assist in setting priorities and schedules to address workload effectively.

Document and report troubleshooting steps and resolutions to facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.

Essential Requirements and Education:Associate's degree in electrical engineering (ASEE) or equivalent industry experience.

Strong understanding of hardware engineering concepts and inter-server computer engineering, including knowledge of PSUs and Ethernet.

Mechanical aptitude to remove, replace, or reinstall server components.

Proficiency in both Client and AMD x86 architectures.

Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Desirable Requirements:Familiarity with various methods of flashing system programmable.

Hands-on experience with test equipment such as Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes and Multimeters.

Proficiency in board and component-level debugging and repair, including locating and replacing faulty capacitors, resistors, traces, and chips.

Soldering skills for board-level rework, including handling 0201-sized components and trace repair.

Scripting skills to automate test processes using languages such as Bash, Tera Term, and Python.

Knowledge of the arm64 architecture.

Apply
