Process Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

An innovative clean tech manufacturer in the Bay Area is scaling up production and looking for a hands-on Process Engineer to support the development and optimization of complex manufacturing processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth team working on next-generation hardware that supports the future of mobility and sustainable energy.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead technical projects from R&D through to full production implementation

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes with a focus on scalability and reliability

• Qualify new tools and equipment for high-volume production

• Establish process metrics and implement statistical process control (SPC)

• Create and maintain SOPs and train team members on safe, repeatable practices

• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or similar

• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment

• Strong analytical skills with experience using statistical tools like JMP, Minitab, or similar

• Practical, hands-on experience working with manufacturing or lab equipment

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Bonus If You Have:

• Knowledge of adhesives and material processing (e.g. UV-curable, thermoset, thermoplastics)

• Experience with continuous manufacturing processes like roll-to-roll or web handling

• Background in circuit patterning or high-precision manufacturing

• Previous experience in a startup or rapid growth environment

Work Environment:

• This is a mix of office and production floor work

• Requires occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working around machinery and chemicals (PPE provided)
