Your Role & Impact
Liase with business teams to understand operational processes and data landscape to propose opportunities of automation and reporting.
Apply agile best practices to improve the development lifecycle, including task and sprint planning.
Partner with the data engineering team to ensure data availability for front-end solutions and assist in creating SQL views.
Design Power BI data models and front-end visualizations.
Develop workflows in Power Automate or Microsoft Fabric objects to support business needs.
Adhere to Power BI/Fabric best practices to ensure stable testing and production environments.
Utilize Fabric notebooks for complex tasks like orchestration, fetching Power BI metadata via REST API, or ad-hoc data analysis.
Document technical requirements for dashboards and reports.
Improve performance of legacy reports with your expertise in DAX and Power Query.
Design and develop paginated reports to supplement Power BI reports and dashboards using Paginated Report Builder.
Support end-users during User Acceptance Testing and conduct training for non-technical users.
Support and maintenance of existing Power BI reports.
Innovate and conduct PoCs to explore the best solutions for the business, fostering a culture of possibility.
Mentor and train junior IT and business professionals in Fabric offering.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
2-4 years of dedicated experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst, with Power BI as the primary tool.
Expertise in authoring DAX expressions to create calculated tables, calculated columns, and measures, as well as the ability to write and format complex DAX formulas to model objects, constants, and variables.
Experience developing Paginated Reports (or SSRS reports) of medium to high complexity.
Expert understanding of dimensional modelling, relational data bases in enterprise data warehouse environments.
In-depth knowledge of using Power BI Desktop, Report Builder, the Power BI Service, Fabric Dataflow/Pipeline and Fabric Notebook.
Proficient in writing SQL queries in a SQL Server environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business users.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, or similar field.
Understanding of Row-Level Security and Incremental Refresh in context of Power BI and SQL Server.
Desired Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate strongly desired.
Knowledge of basic Power BI administration at the tenant settings.
Python skills are a big plus.
Knowledge of the Financial Services, especially Capital Markets and Asset Management experience is a plus.
