_Job Summary_
Reporting to the Director of Regulatory Policy, responsible for effectively managing, organizing, facilitating and executing on all regulatory matters including but not limited to business timelines, resources, and deliverables for Columbia Gas rate change filings, Ohio Power Siting Board filings, resolution of customer concerns, compliance matters, regulatory advice to various internal business partners, and other projects and initiatives in accordance with Columbia Gas and NiSource business strategy, objectives and commitments. Provide project management support for other areas of Columbia Gas as necessary.
_Essential Functions_
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all regulatory filings under the supervision and direction of the Director of Regulatory Policy
• Ensure accuracy of all documents, schedules, workpapers, and supporting materials for all regulatory filings
• Develop and manage full scale project plans, including determination of project tasks and resource requirements and identification of project dependencies and critical path
• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and RS&S to prepare regulatory filings and regulatory plan inputs
• Utilize existing models and financial teams to coordinate financial information and compile for financial elements of regulatory filings, or review and ensure the accuracy of the work of others
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution, tracking, management, reporting, and documentation, including but not limited to discovery in all pending PUCO and Ohio Power Siting Board (“OPSB”) cases
• Proactively manage changes in regulatory matters, identify potential obstacles, and devise contingency plans
• Manage technical support activities of the department and the administration and security of the discovery and other regulatory database management tools.
• Actively advise various internal business partners on regulatory and compliance questions posed to the regulatory function.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Columbia Gas regulatory objectives and corporate strategy including Accelerated Mains Replacement Program Rider, Capital Expenditure Program Rider, Pipeline Safety Program Deferral, Base Rates, Demand Side Management Program Rider, all Columbia Gas trackers and deferrals.
• Facilitate resolution of customer concerns, including communicating with the customer, external regulatory contacts, and other stakeholders about those concerns.
• Provide advice regarding compliance matters, including compliance with PUCO rules and Columbia’s tariff as well as pipeline safety matters.
• Prepare and manage applications through the OPSB process, including answering discovery and interacting with OPSB staff.
_Required Qualifications for Position_
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field, preferably accounting, finance, economics, or related degree
• Regulatory experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational, time management and follow-through skills
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including modeling, schedule-building, and other financial-related experience
• Project management, coordination and facilitation skills
• Ability to prioritize and to manage multiple, simultaneous and at times, competing deliverables
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Must be self-directed, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
• Ability to interface with and gain commitment and cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior levels of management
• Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Proven analytical ability
• Ability to comprehend and assimilate complex business and regulatory information, and communicate that information in a concise and persuasive way
_Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position_
• Master's Degree Advanced degree, Masters of Business Administration, or Juris Doctorate
• Previous management experience
• 5+ years experience in the utility or related industry

**Salary Range
$129,500.00 - $194,300.00
