**Overview**
A single person that will create, manage and track asset management plans under the direction of the Asset Program Owner (APO). This includes oversite of Storage Integrity Management Plan (SIMP) performance and execution on an ongoing basis for all NiSource operating states. Must assess risks and identify work that optimizes safety, reliability, and affordability for the Supplemental Gas asset class.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ **Regulatory and Standards:**
+ Own, update, and drive compliance to the SIMP proceduresacross the NiSource Underground Natural Gas Storage assets: one (1) depleted hydrocarbon reservoir in Pennsylvania and two (2) aquifer reservoirs in Indiana.
+ Maintain awareness of relevant regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to the asset portfolio in general, and to the SIMP procedures. Relevant regulations include PHMSA 192.12 and API RP 1171.
+ Own audit preparation, commission audit interaction, and audit remediation activities and functions.
+ Represent the SIMP team as a subject matter expert in support of regulatory filings and proceedings at state and federal level.Prepare and submit periodic mandated reports to external agencies.
+ Build, promote and enhance collaborative relationships with Public Utility Commissions, industry associations, company affiliates and other potential business partners.
+ Collaborate with Standards and Compliance leaders, peers, and Field Operations to prepare preventative strategies to eliminate violations or repeat offenses.
+ Participate in process to influence regulatory proceedings through industry associations and other opportunities.
+ Facilitate and lead annual risk review meetings.
+ **Analytical** **Project Work:**
+ Lead and provide quality assurance on projects related to risk identification/ reduction, records retention / organization, and execution of field work related to the management of underground storage wells or reservoirs.This includes management of external contractors and consultants.
+ Observe field work to attain risk-informed perspectives and make recommendations for improvements in safety, efficiency, cost reduction, etc.
+ Provide direction and safety leadership to the SIMP team, peers, and project members based on regulations, company policies, observations of field work, and hazard analysis.
+ Assist in Root Cause Analysis meetings as a subject matter expert regarding asset threats and risk.
+ Serve as a Subject Matter Representative (SMR) and technical expert to business partners and provide direct support to the Asset Program Owner (APO).
+ Utilize Microsoft Excel to risk rank asset threats and associated outcomes utilizing work experience, subject matter expert input, industry events, internal events, formal risk assessment, and industry benchmarks.
+ Build concise, informative, and visually pleasing PowerPoint presentations to support Board, Governance, Senior Leadership, and Field Execution Meetings.
+ Evaluate potential project initiatives based on risk and Net Present Value (NPV).
+ Attend conventions, conferences, etc., which relate to functions performed by the department.
+ Serve in a leadership role on an interim basis.
+ Provide safety leadership through asset risk management activities to support the 10 key elements of the organization’s Safety Management System per API RP 1173.

+ Strong background or knowledge of industry standards related to gas distribution or transmission design and operations.

$67,900.00 - $165,300.00
