The Graduate Programme
The Rabobank Country Banking Graduate Programme offers hands-on banking experiences across three six-month rotations throughout New Zealand. You'll be supported by workshops, projects, and a dedicated buddy who started as a graduate. Plus, you'll have ongoing support from mentors and coaches throughout the organisation.
You will work in various teams within Country Banking New Zealand located around the country; anywhere from historic Invercargill to sunny Whangārei.
About you
We are seeking diverse, positive, ambitious and motivated individuals who have a deep connection with agribusiness and who are keen to help shape the future of agribusiness through banking.
To be eligible for the programme you should have completed a tertiary qualification in the last 3 years or be working to completion prior to commencement of the programme in February 2026.
You’ll be an energetic self-starter, determined, eager to learn and be challenged within a diverse agribusiness banking environment. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work in locations all around NZ, as you will move between these throughout your programme.
Please note: Rabobank’s Graduate Recruitment process includes an in-person assessment centre which will be held on Thursday 26 June 2025. If selected, you must be able to attend. Please see more details below under ‘key dates'.

Key Dates
Wednesday 21st May: Applications close
Monday 26th May: Longlisted candidates will receive an online assessment to complete and return by Friday 30th May.
W/C Monday 2nd of June: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre.
Thursday 26th June: In-person Assessment Centre will be held in Wellington. Rabobank will assist with travel arrangements. To be considered for the 2026 graduate intake, attendance at the Assessment Centre is mandatory.
W/C Monday 30th June: Reference checks will be completed for successful applicants
